Warsaw - Panattoni Europe has announced having signed a new lease contract for Panattoni Park Myslowice. The new tenant Intermarché retail chain, will occupy the whole of the presently built Hall F, of 28,500 sqm. Intermarché facility is an example of Panattoni specialization - BTS investments.
New Client
The new tenant in Panattoni Park Myslowice – Intermarché retail chain of shops selling food and home products – now owns over 130 hypermarkets all over Poland. The new Client will take about 19,000 sqm of warehouse space, 7,700 sqm of cold store and 800 sqm of office space. The Myslowice warehouse will serve the company as a national distribution center for the chain of shops. – The decisive factor in setting up the distribution center in Myslowice was the high quality of the logistics solutions offered by Panattoni, plus an excellent location – in the very heart of the Silesian agglomeration. It is probably the best possible place for our second nationwide logistics center – said Dariusz Kierski, Logistics Director for Poland in The Mousquetaires Group. The tenant will move in to Hall F immediately after its completion in the 4th quarter of 2009. The realization prepared for Intermarché will be a BTS type of space adjusted to specific Client’s needs.
Panattoni has gained a thorough experience in built-to-suit- projects for food chains. In October 2007, a nationwide retail chain - „Piotr i Pawel” – set up a warehouse of total space 25,000 sqm at Panattoni Park Poznan distribution center in Gadki. Today it services about 55 retail outlets, and the Gadki location will eventually provide for 100 shop-markets. There is a cold store for dairy products (at temperature of about 5, 5?C) as well as a special space for fruit and vegetables (at temp. 8-9?C).
Development of the Park of Myslowice
Hall F is the fifth building in Kosztowy of Myslowice. Till now Panattoni had released the first hall room of 20,000 sqm, rented out as a whole to ND Logistics. The present phase of construction works covers 3 more buildings: Hall D of 23,117 sqm, Hall C of 22,256 sqm and Hall G – 33,415 sqm. Hall F, with its 28,500 sqm, will be the fifth building in the new center. There are also plans to build the sixth building of 51,000 sqm. Upon completion of all works Panattoni Park Myslowice shall arise as one of the biggest logistics parks in Poland: 190,500 sqm of total space.
Beneficial location
The Park of Myslowice is a flagship investment of Panattoni Europe. Companies and businesses from all of Poland can benefit from a great location and well-developed infrastructure of the region. It is an ideal spot for setting up a distribution center servicing both the Polish and European markets, with vast resources of highly qualified labor force. The location has recently attracted interest of Coca Cola HBC Polska, which is going to set up its distribution center in Myslowice, and a producer of high-tech systems and automobile components - Magneti Marelli. The Panattoni tenants appreciate the proximity of A4 highway running through Myslowice and express route S1, as well as a close distance – only 30 km away - from Pyrzowice international airport.
Panattoni in Silesia
Upper Silesia has been the key industrial region in the south of Poland, and a huge consumers market (within a radius of 100 km from the Silesian agglomeration there are over 6 mln inhabitants) as well as a good resource of qualified work force. Due to the proximity of the Czech Republic and Slovakia the region is also a great location for logistic centers servicing Central Europe and international logistics operators. Panattoni is all for Silesia: apart from the expansion of the Myslowice Park, the developer has been building new logistics centers in Gliwice and Czeladz. Only last year the developer rented over 75,000 sqm of warehouse and office space in the area. Within next few months the developer is going to provide about 100,000 sqm of modern warehouses and offices for let.
