Panattoni D5 Logistics Park Fully Leased

17 May 2010

Ostrov u Stribra, CZ – Panattoni Europe, has signed lease expansion agreements in Panattoni D5 Logistics Park in the Czech Republic. Early this year, Lear Corporation, Assa Abloy and Leoni (Neumatic CZ) expanded their current warehouse space.

Lear Corporation, the leading global supplier of automotive seating systems and electrical power management systems has signed a new contract to lease nearly 22 000 m² of industrial space. Lear Corp. was represented by CB Richard Ellis in the expansion. Already, last year the industrial team of CB Richard Ellis identified Panattoni D5 Logistics Park as the best choice and Lear leased 7 200 m² of manufacturing space. Currently, the customer occupies altogether 29 100 m² of warehouse space at Panattoni D5.

Panattoni D5 Logistic Park is situated in a prominent location on the D5 motorway close to the German border. Two buildings offering 60 000 m² of space, grant extensive opportunities mainly for manufacturing purposes. Filip Kozák, Head of Industrial Agency CBRE says, “After the past couple of difficult months, when activity in the market was fairly minimal, we observed a gradual increase of re-interest from foreign investors in the Czech Republic.”

Assa Abloy, the premier world manufacturer and supplier of complex solutions for door locking systems has expanded its warehouse area in Panattoni D5 Logistic Park by 4800 m². Václav Šmejkal, Production Manager from Assa Abloy comments, “In context of our production capacity growth, ASSA ABLOY Entrance systems decided to shift part of its production from the Western factories. This is both to increase the amount of currently available products and the implementation of completely new solutions. This change requires expansion in both, warehouse space and office space. During 2011 we should achieve a doubling of the number of employees compared to 2009 in both blue-collar workers and in administrative.”

Also, Leoni (Neumatic CZ) a global supplier of wires, optical fibers, cables and cable systems as well as related development services for applications in the automotive business and other industries expanded its current warehouse space by 2400 m². Leoni was represented by Cushman & Wakefield. The company will produce wiring harnesses for industrial applications at the park.
