Warsaw - Panattoni Europe, leading industrial space developer in Poland, has started construction on the first facility in Panattoni Park Gdansk, covering an area of 7,600 square meters. The first tenants of the investment are ABRA S.A, a national furniture chain and Pika Sp. z o.o.
Construction began at the end of May and begining of June 2010. Completion is projected for the fourth quarter 2010. The tenants of the project will be existing Panattoni clients. ABRA S.A. will lease 2,700 square meters and together with leased space in Panattoni Park Stryków accounts for 6,000 square meters of warehouse space in the developer’s parks. Pika Sp. z o.o. is one of the largest and most modern companies rendering soft and hardcopy document management services. In the Pomeranian park it will lease 1,800 square meters and almost 3,700 squre meters in other Panattoni Europe parks.
Panattoni Park Gdansk will consist of 3 facilities covering 43,400 square meters, which will account for 1/3 of existing warehouse space in the region. "The Triple City area is a relatively young warehouse market, while Gdansk, where our park is located, is the largest harbor city and one of the biggest economic centers in Poland. The new Panattoni Park Gdansk, whose location guarantees the rendition of fluent services to the Triple City market, is dedicated for companies based in Pomerania,” said Bartlomiej Krawiecki, Managing Partner for Eastern Poland at Panattoni Europe.
"Since we are systematically opening new ABRA shops, we decided to modernize our warehouse base, which is dictated by the need to continuously upgrade processes and increase productivity. Naturally, the ultimate goal is to ensure increasingly higher customer service. Based on our positive experience in terms of leasing space in Panattoni Park Stryków, we decided to extend our relationship with Panattoni,” added Marek Zelek, Logistics Manager at ABRA S.A.

Some of the space will be earmarked for modern office services for soft and hardcopy documentation. Panattoni Park Gdansk is one of the best located distribution parks in Pomerania. It is situated in close vicinity to the Major Henryk Sucharski route, constituting the last stretch of the European E75, E77 and 500 routes, stretching from the Gdansk harbor to the southern ring-road and A1 motorway. It is located merely 500 meters away from the planned "Blonie” communication node . The park is situated near the harbor and new deep-water container terminal.
