As a member of the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), Panattoni Development Company consistently places a high priority on creating projects that meet Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) standards. Together with its affiliate company, Panattoni Construction, a large number of personnel have obtained LEED accreditation.
Already, Panattoni has 3,600,000 sf of buildings that have obtained some level of LEED certification. An additional 487,000 sf of LEED designed buildings have been completed and are anticipating certification. Future assignments include another 1,900,000 sf of planned LEED projects.
A Sustainability Committee has been established to implement new educational initiatives, develop in-house resources, share best practices across the company, monitor the evolution of the Green Building industry, regulations, and technologies, and establish metrics for the measurement of the economic impact (cost/benefit) of sustainable practices on company projects.
