EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — The global development firm building an industrial park in southeast El Paso expects to welcome its first tenant in mid-September.

Panattoni, the development firm behind southeast El Paso’s Pellicano Industrial Park, will welcome its first tenant, Sumitomo Electric, in mid-September, according to Development Manager Dave Boyack.

Sumitomo will ultimately occupy two buildings at the industrial park — representing phase one of the project — however, it will only be moving into the first building this month, as the second building is expected to be completed in November.

“The second building is actually ahead of our original contract schedule and we are continuing to try to improve on the November turnover,” said Boyack.

Panattoni signed a leasing agreement with Sumitomo back in January, the same month it broke ground at the site.
